Quick Setup Guide
Stock Sentry is designed to be up and running in minutes. Follow these three simple steps to start monitoring your inventory.
Step 1: Install from Shopify App Store
- Visit the Shopify App Store
- Search for "Stock Sentry"
- Click Add app to install
- Authorize the required permissions
Permissions needed:
- Read products and inventory
- Read orders (for velocity calculation)
- Read shop information
Step 2: Configure Alert Thresholds
Navigate to Settings and set your preferred alert levels:
- Critical: 3 days or less (recommended)
- Urgent: 7 days or less (recommended)
- Warning: 14 days or less (recommended)
You can adjust these based on your restocking lead times.
Step 3: Enable Notifications
Choose how you want to receive alerts:
- Email: Get immediate alerts or daily digests
- Dashboard: Always-on view in the app
- Slack (optional): Team notifications
That's it! Stock Sentry will now monitor your inventory 24/7.
